From Fundamentals to Real Game Impact.
The Select Program is the bridge between foundational skills and advanced offensive creation. At this stage, players learn to apply their fundamentals under movement, pressure, and decision-making, transforming technique into actions that matter in real game situations.
Training shifts from “doing the skill correctly” to using the skill with purpose — understanding timing, changing pace, recognizing space, and making confident decisions as developing playmakers.
Location: St Edward Catholic School, Markham
Date and Time: Monday 6 PM - 8 PM
Class Size: 6-8 Players

The Select Program turns strong fundamentals into complete offensive skills — teaching players how to create, attack, and score with confidence.
What Select Players Grow Into
Applying Skills in Motion
Athletes begin connecting footwork, dribble control, and finishing into smooth, usable sequences that work in live play.
Reading and Responding to Defenders
Players learn to recognize closeouts, angles, and gaps — and to make simple, correct reads with composure and confidence.
Building Offensive Rhythm
Select athletes develop the ability to vary tempo, shift pace, and use controlled changes of speed to create advantages.
Early Space Creation & Shot Quality
Players are introduced to balanced shot prep, controlled stops, and the first layers of creating separation for clean looks.
Team Awareness & Simple Playmaking
Athletes learn how to make the next pass, cut with purpose, and contribute to offensive flow even without the ball.
Competitive Defensive Habits
Select players are held to higher defensive standards, learning discipline, footwork, and positioning that translate directly to rep-level games.
How Select Separates from Advanced
The Advanced Program builds the foundation — control, balance, coordination, and reliable execution. The Select Program elevates that foundation, teaching athletes to connect their skills, apply them under pressure, and impact the game with confidence. It is the step where players shift from “learning how to do it” to learning when, why, and how to use it in real basketball situations.
Who the Select Program Is For
The Select Program is designed for players who already have a solid fundamental base and are ready to apply their skills in real game situations. These athletes can control the ball, move with balance, and execute basic techniques — and now need to learn how to connect those skills, read defenders, and make purposeful decisions.
Select is ideal for players who are:
Beyond basic fundamentals, but not yet advanced creators
Ready for faster pace, more movement, and more decision-making
Capable of handling pressure and applying skills on the move
Looking to build confidence as reliable scorers, passers, and defenders
Preparing to transition into Elite-level offensive creation later on
In short, the Select Program is for athletes who can do the skills — and are now ready to use them to impact the game.
